Frequently Asked Questions

A simple overview of what Yujin is, who it is for, and how it works.

What is Yujin?

Yujin is an English reading app designed to help children become comfortable with English through calm, daily reading. It is made especially for children who feel hesitant, nervous, or lacking in confidence.

Who is Yujin?

Yujin is both the name of this app and the guide inside it. Yujin is a calm, supportive buddy who helps students feel comfortable learning English.

Who is Yujin for?

Yujin is for children from upper elementary school through high school, especially those who feel weak at English, are afraid of making mistakes, or do not know how to begin.

Is this only for children who are already good at English?

No. Yujin is not built only for students who are already good at English. It is designed especially for children who need a gentler and safer way to get used to English.

How does Yujin help children learn?

Yujin focuses on reading first. Children read short passages regularly, listen how they're properly read, and gradually become familiar with common English patterns. Confidence grows from repeated exposure, not pressure.

Does Yujin focus on tests and scores?

No. Yujin is not a test-prep-first service. The goal is to help children feel that English is familiar and manageable. Better performance can come later as a result of that foundation.

How are the daily readings structured?

Each day, your child reads one short passage. The passages were created to be appropriate to the child's reading level. The content is designed to be to be manageable, so it can be completed in just a few minutes. Over time, these small daily steps build familiarity and confidence.

How much content is included?

Each grade level includes around 200 short passages, designed to be used over a typical school year. The structure is simple: one passage per day, at a steady pace (at least 5 days per week) that children can continue without pressure.

How long does it take to complete a level?

Most children can move through a level over the course of a year with daily use. The focus is not speed, but consistency and starting early. Even a few minutes a day is enough to make steady progress.

Do children need their own account?

No. A parent or guardian creates the account and manages the child profile. Children use the service under parental supervision.

Can children use their own device?

Yes. After the initial setup by a parent, a child can continue reading on their own device through the child-device setup flow, which will only take about a minute.

How difficult is the setup?

The setup is designed to be simple. A parent creates an account, adds a child, and connects the child’s device using a QR code or access code.

Can Yujin support multiple children on the same device?

Yes. Parents can register multiple children under one account. On a shared device, you can switch between children easily. Each child’s progress is tracked separately.

Can parents check progress?

Yes. Parents can review the child’s reading progress and recent activity from the parent side of the service.

Is there a trial period for first-time users?

Yes. We offer a 14-day trial period so families can explore the experience before committing. During this time, you can try the reading flow and see how your child responds.

Does Yujin use children’s data for advertising?

No. Yujin does not use children’s data for advertising.

Can schools or organizations use Yujin?
